Striper Fishing Massachusetts, Striped Bass Fishing

Striper fishing in Massachusetts from Kayman Charters is a truly New England experience. Striped Bass Fishing Charters in Gloucester MA are a deep sea fishing favorite for the light tackle or fly fisherman. Stripers are a migratory fish that visit our waters from May to October. May through July seem to be the best months for larger fish as they chase mackerel around in the deep water off Gloucester, MA. In August and September, there are also large fish that are mixed with smaller ones to provide plenty of action. Since stripers can come close to shore, the travel time for Striped Bass fishing can be as short as 15 minutes!

Early in the year Trolling Lures or Live Mackerel entice these monsters to double over rods and peel drag off at lightning speeds! On spring striper fishing trips in Massachusetts it is not uncommon to have 4 rods hooked up at once! Check out our past fishing reports.

Striper Fishing in Massachusetts is great from late spring through fall, and light tackle chunking for stripers is a favorite way to test the skills of anglers. Anchoring the boat in the right spot is key to this fishery. Anglers all use spinning gear or bait casters to cast their offerings to waiting Stripers. Hooking the fish can be challenging and when she is hooked hang on and let the drag scream!
