As our ground fishing has come to a close at the end of August all our trips have been for Tuna. Although the boat has not been fishing much so far this month our first Tuna trip was a success. Folk were catching Mackerel and Whiting when one of the reels doubled over and the line was screaming off the reel! The fish was wrapped around the anchor line so we spun the Lisa&Jake in circles to free the fish.
After an hour and half the fish was harpooned and tail wrapped to secure the fish. The fish was close to 500 pounds. The Charter was amazed at the fish and scheduled their next trip that will be on the house!
