Some Slammer Pollock have moved in to some of the inshore peaks! These Twenty pound masses of muscle bend the rods more than any other fish and put up a battle until the end! They are not stacked up like November yet but it is a great sign that Fall fishing is here!
Along with the Pollock you can expect some nice Cod fish to be in the mix! Cod to twenty pounds came to gaff on the Lisa&Jake the other day with a nice pick of ten pounders as well.
Some of the Haddock the boats are catching are in the 7-8 pound range as well as some smaller ones.
It is some great fishing and the boats will be putting on the heavy gear for the Large Pollock run soon. Last few years the Pollock stack 30 to 40 feet thick and you can get doubles on most drops if your arms can handle it, most take the teaser off after the first drift!
Next Shared trip is Friday Oct 11 go to kaymancharters.com to sign up for this one!
