The Kayman Too and the Lisa&Jake fished every day last week. Catches of Cod and Haddock were excellent! Large Cod to 30lb were taken and a 20lb average fish on a few days.
Early departures and jigs were the key to the large fish. Stellwagon Bank has seen a great change as the water warms and the fish are on the big move. Some of the Largest Haddock was very consistent last week with average Haddock being 8-10 lbs! It looked like large Cod showing color every time the fish were brought to gaff!
What was here to day is gone tomorrow was the motto of last week fishing. This has made it a challenging fishery last week. The skilled Skipper’s of the Kayman Fleet have seemed to close the deal every day with filled fillet bags at the end of the day.
