The Fall run of Cod fish close to Gloucester is in full swing! Lock and load Cod fishing is filling the totes as many anglers enjoyed the good weather at the beginning of the week. Both the Kayman Too and the Lisa&Jake brought limits of Cod on board easily every day this past week.
Jigs with teasers would catch double headers on most drops as the fish seem to hit anything that moved!
Large Wolfish to 20 lbs as well as an 18 pound Monkfish as well as large Haddock keeps the catch interesting!
As the water cools the migration of the larger fish and the big groups of Pollock load up onto Tillies Banks pointy peaks. Positioning the boat in the center of the peaks creates some crazy slammer Pollock fishing. If you ever wanted to test your gear for tough fish this is the fishery for you! Stay tuned as Pollock should be making there arrival soon.
