Haddock fishing in the deeper waters was the best we have seen for an early Spring bite. Haddock to 14lbs with a 7 lb average took the place of Cod fishing this late Winter into early Spring!
This fishing has now been replaced by the fast action of the Cod fish. Totes of Large Market sized fish have been filling quickly.Jigs and anything you have in your tackle box will hook some of these hungry fish. It has not taken long to limit out and go to look for some close by Haddock to finish out the day.
A few wolf fish have also been taken in the mix. We will only be able to post this for 2 more weeks when then ban on taking Wolfys will be in effect. After May 1 you must carefully reach into the fishes mouth to remove the hook and return the toothy critter to the depths of the Atlantic
